The Duke Approach to Engineering Management

Duke’s Master of Engineering Management (MEM) Program, offered with the support of the Fuqua School of Business and the School of Law, prepares engineering and science graduates to become future industry leaders. The core curriculum consists of marketing, finance, intellectual property and business law, and management, similar to key courses in an MBA curriculum. Technical electives provide flexibility to focus on technology management, innovation management, operations management, entrepreneurship, financial engineering or master’s courses in specific engineering disciplines. This broad curriculum develops engineering professionals ready to address today’s complex business problems with innovative solutions.

Industry Ties

Duke’s MEM program collaborates with industry through practicums, workshops, seminar and internships and its MEM Industrial Advisory Board provides guidance to ensure students develops the knowledge and skills required to succeed in industry.
